Umbrella Shop

In 2016 the beloved Jeans Burns building burnt down leaving a large open pit in the heart of Downtown Nanaimo. Lys was invited to collaborate on a project that would see local artists create original works of art to be installed on the fencing around the pit. The original artwork was accompanied with heritage photography and lasted for 2 years time. Indoor studio space and supplies were donated to the artists helping to keep costs low.
